A Yamaha or an Epiphone electric bass guitar?
My dad wants to get a yamaha bass instead of an epiphone sg bass, because the yamaha is cheaper. Which one is the better guitar?

He should go with whichever one feels most comfortable in his hands. They're both well-made instruments. Yamahas tend to sound a little more lively and punchy than Epiphones, which is why a lot of jazz players prefer them. I associate the Epiphone bass sound with classic rock of the '70s, since it's a flatter, more thuddy tone. But they're both solid instruments. It's just a matter of figuring out which one fits his playing style and feels natural to him.
