How do you replace the pickguard on a Fender Jazz Bass?

Well, my Fender Jazz Bass is all white, body AND pickguard. I think it would look amazing if i had a black pickguard with white body.

However, the only music store around here screwed up my last bass’ pickguard, so i don’t exactly want to go there again.

So basically, i just wanted to know if there’s anything i need to know before replacing the pickguard. ALSO, i need to know if there wires attached to the original pickguard.

I have a vintage Hofner violin bass and regular bass I want to sell.?

My grandmother gave me a Hofner violin bass, probobaly from the 60’s because it was her husbands who is 85. It has some minor minor wear. She also gave me an non brand bass. Both were found in her basement. Now, I need some money and want to sell these, but first, is there anywhere I can get these appraised like at a Guitar Center or something like that? I wonder how much the Hofner is though.

How can I fix my Yamaha bass guitar? It makes a weird rattling sound when you strum.?

I've tried adjusting the string retainer but I still have problems. Can somebody help me out? Oh and it's not the tuning. And also the rattling sounds like the string is loose but it is very tight. And also I bought this from a pawn shop.

Opinions on the Epiphone Thunderbird bass guitar?

Been playing guitar for a while now and I might switch to bass for a bit. The Epiphone Thunderbird looked interesting as I saw the bassist for Chevelle playing one. Just wondering what people's thought of it may be. I like playing metalcore, hardcore, and hard rock. I'm a tall, slim but sturdy person with a strong fretting hand and somewhat long fingers. Based on that info, do you think that this bass would be good for me? Any opinion would be great.

Ibanez Bass?

ok, i was on ibanez.com looking for basses, they showed people in bands who had ibanez basses. i was looking at them then i saw it, Slipknot's Paul Gray had this awsome bass, and it was custimized with the slipknot logo and stuff. i was wondering if they actualy sell it, or if they are just showing it.
please if any one know, tell me because im dieing to buy it, but i dont know if they sell it.

fender bass amp… which one do i want?

I play bass and I'm debating between two excellent deals on Fender Rumbles. I'm in 7th grade and am planning to be in talent shows thought-out middle school and high school. Which Rumble should i go for-

60 watt for 0.00 (normally 0.00)
100 watt for 0.00 (normally 0.00)

Yes I know that that DPW (dollars per watt, don't ask, i made that one up) is lower on the 100 watt but think, im a teen that isn't old enough to get a job and has no allowance. So if i buy the 100 watt then my money for bass guitar accessories goes ALL into that. I have some money left over if i go 60. I'M NOT ASKING FOR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ANY OTHER AMP!

How is “Hofner Icon Series Vintage Violin Bass” which is $350, different from $2700 hofner bass?

is it fake? copied by other brand? or lower quality hofner bass manufactured by “hofner”? It has been my dream to get Paul McCartney model bass and when I found this on the internet, I couldnt believe the price I was seeing.

Can anyone tell me what kind of replacement pickups I should get for my fender squier bass?

One of the Pickups to my Fender Squier Bass are compeltely dead. I need to replace both of them and i was thinking of going with emgs. Givin that I shouldnt spend more on pickups then i did the bass (0 at the time) what would be a set of pickups my bass would be worthy of? I play alot of funk, slap n pop punk and ska stuff so I need something with a punchy mid range
